AN INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP

ABOUT

EXPLORING PROJECT MANAGEMENT DYNAMICS

Step into the complexities of project management with this engaging, web-based workshop. This interactive experience is designed to demonstrate the power of system dynamics and uncover the hidden forces that drive project outcomes. It challenges participants to think critically, revealing the counterintuitive decisions and biases often influencing project success or failure.

As you interact with the system dynamics model, you’ll witness firsthand how small choices can lead to unexpected results—challenging assumptions and reshaping your understanding of effective project management.

By the end of the session, you’ll develop an awareness of identifying and mitigating decision biases, managing complexity, and leading projects to better outcomes. Join us for this interactive exploration and equip yourself with tools to approach project management from a new perspective.

EVENT FEATURES

Interactive Model Workshop

In this live, online workshop interactive event, participants will work in two- to three-person teams. You'll meet new people, modify a model in randomly assigned teams, make decisions, take risks, and observe the impact on your decisions.

Models and simulations will be modified and run on ISEE Systems platforms and technologies.

Learning Objective

Experience the complexities of managing projects in dynamic environments, where strategic decisions, resource allocation, and unforeseen factors can lead to unexpected outcomes. Identify and challenge cognitive biases influencing project planning and execution, fostering more objective and data-driven decision-making.

Action Learning

Encouraging exploration and innovation, models and simulations are risk-free environments to challenge mental models and day-to-day assumptions.
